Leo has been a practicing accountant for over 30 years. He founded Vargiu Accountants in 1991 and has remained the Principal and overseen the firm’s growth since then.

As the Principal, Leo advises clients on their tax, businesses, and financial planning, while also directing the firm and mentoring the team. Leo enjoys helping his clients achieve their goals and is proud of the long-term relationships he has built with them.
Leo has a Bachelor of Business from RMIT, is a Fellow Chartered Accountant and certified financial planner. He is also a self-managed super fund specialist and auditor and a chartered tax advisor.
Since 1986, Leo has had a long affiliation with Club Italia Sporting Club Inc. in Melbourne. From playing soccer there to becoming the club’s accountant and holding the role of President for six years. Leo regularly runs marathons and is married with three children. He values times with his family and is closely involved in his children’s sport.
